Domestic violence support
1800RESPECT is the national online and telephone counselling and support service for people who have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing, sexual assault and/or domestic and family violence, their family and friends, and frontline and isolated workers.

The NSW Domestic Violence Line provides counselling and referrals to women experiencing domestic violence.
Caseworkers on the Domestic Violence Line can help you:
- get hospital care, counselling and family support services
- understand what an Apprehended Violence Order (AVO) is and how to get one
- develop a safety plan for you and your children
- find emergency accommodation for you and your children
- help you with transport for you and your children
- talk to the police, courts and lawyers.

Health and safety
Kids and Traffic is increasing awareness of the need for road safety education for children and their families.
Fostering developmentally, culturally and socially appropriate practices for the delivery of road safety education with early childhood educators and tertiary early childhood education students.
Ensuring that young children are given consistent road safety messages by both early childhood educators and families.
Munch & Move is a NSW Health initiative that supports the healthy development of children birth to 5 years by promoting physical activity, healthy eating and reduced small screen time (e.g. watching TV or DVDs, playing on computers and small hand-held games devices).

Early childhood family support
Early Childhood Australia (ECA) has been a voice for young children since 1938. We are the peak early childhood advocacy organisation, acting in the interests of young children, their families and those in the early childhood field. ECA advocates to ensure quality, social justice and equity in all issues relating to the education and care of children aged birth to eight years.

Learning packages from the four streams in literacy/English, numeracy/mathematics, physical activity and more key learning areas.
Early childhood educators and families can access the early childhood guided learning packages to supplement learning from home for preschool children.

What happens during the first 5 years of a child’s life – pregnancy to age 5 – has a huge impact on how they grow, develop and learn. The Parent and Carer Information Hub has services and resources to support you during the first 5 years of a child's life, from pregnancy until age 5.
